My feedback from Mr. Grimsley was not good. He has suggested that I should add more posts and a lot more detail into the posts that I have already created. Because of this feedback it made me think about my participation to media studies. For example I am concentrating too much on the practical side of the coursework and not actually doing the writing and the more analytical side of media. I am thoroughly enjoying media studies but I need to start focusing on my blog more and start using more of my independent study time to improve my blog.

Order of titles
Order of titles
In our title sequence we have to know which order the title are going to be. This is because some roles are important than others. For example the main actors names would go before less known actors.
We had to consider the order of our titles, which will be:
- Studio Logos
- Production company presents
- Film Title
- Actors Names
- Any of the following, Casting, Production designer, Costume, Make-up, Special effects, Music and Sound editor.
- Line Producer
- Exec Producer
- Producer
- Editor
- Director of Photography
- Writer(s)
- Director

ZombieLand
Zombieland Title Sequence Analysis
In
this title sequence it introduces to us that the movie is going to be set in
America. This is shown through The first shot we see of the prison convict
throwing a man off a tower. I know that this is set in America due to the
orange convict clothing he is wearing. Other aspects of this sequence that show
that it is set in America is the dollars flying out of the briefcase as the man
is being attacked by a zombie.
The
themes in this movie are Reverse of order which is used for a comic approach.
It means that life has turned the other way around such as the convict throwing
of the prison guard. The stripper chasing the man and the people attacking the
mobsters. This sequence also represents the theme of anarchy such as the bride
attacking the groom showing that everything has become corrupt and chaotic.
Iconography
used in this sequence is blood. This is a
must have in the horror genre and connotes to the audience that it could
be a horror. Torn flesh is also a key iconic aspect of horror as is dead bodies
and cannibalism which all are included in this title sequence. For example in
the shot down below this zombie shows all of the key iconography of a typical
horror movie such as he has the peeling flesh, hese
supposedly dead and is spitting out blood.
The
narrative of Zombieland is shown through the title sequence as it
shows that it is going to have something to do with a post apocalypse world
where zombies roam. The genre of the
movie is also shown through the title sequence such as the comedy aspects of reverse
of
order that infer that the narrative will have comedy elements in it. There
is
also a shot of a man wearing a poster that says “the end is near” this could
foreshadow that the zombies will end up destroying the whole world.
Planning Of Title Sequence
Planning Of Title Sequence
In todays lesson we started to storyboard our title sequence. We discussed many different ideas such as having our whole title sequence more thematic than focusing on the narrative.
Ideas That Where Discussed:
In todays lesson we started to storyboard our title sequence. We discussed many different ideas such as having our whole title sequence more thematic than focusing on the narrative.
Ideas That Where Discussed:
- We had ideas such as having money burning to represent that anton does not care for illegal money or corruption. also shows he has another plan other than giving in to them and giving them money.
- We also decided that our scene would be set with a map of london.
- The ticking of clocks is going to be the sound in the background. to represent how much time his dad has got left until his death.
- London street signs to set the scene
- Cooking books
- Money being exchanged
- Money being printed of to show its illegal
- Hospital scene with a heart monitor sound at the end of the clip
- playing cards with
Problems that where discussed where:
We could not decide between having the opening credits over the shot or on

Audience Profile
Target Audience
Primary Target: 18-35 years old (men)
Secondary Target: 35-50 years old (men)
The target audience for our film, Inherited Empire, will be mainstreamers who tend to be domesticated and conformist type of people. However, we recognize that our age rating is an 18 certificate, which indicates to us that we are focusing on a niche audience. This is because it is a specific audience and we need to provide content that the audience will like.
The audience that we are aiming at would like action films, beer, sports and socializing. Their dislikes would be things that females would usually like such as shopping and romantic films. Also the races that our film will appeal to are black, white and mixed race as these feature in our film.
The targeted viewer would not have strong beliefs in church or religion as our film may cross boundaries that may offend them. Therefore, the target audience would only go to church for a wedding or funeral.
The target audience’s main occupation would be a practical job such a builder, electrician or plumber, as these typically like gangster movies, as it is there interest. However, another target would be people interested in media such as graphic designers and media technicians as they will be more obliged to go to the cinema, through their shared interest in the arts.
